"Color psychology" book cover

This is a project I have done almost a year ago, but just got the printed book a few days ago.
It' s a book cover designed for one of mine professor's book called "Psihologija boja" or "Co-
lor psychology".

----The book itself explains history of color definition, perception and psycological influence of
colors on human mind. It also teaches designers how to use colors to get an specific emotion
from a customer or client, or simply how to use color for subliminal perception.

Book is written by one of mine college professor Igor Zjakić and his colleague Marin Milković.

Idea for the cover originated from one of mine abstract circle compositions made over a year
ago.

I had the idea to show an abstract image of color influence and experience in human eye without
a real image of an eye. Next image shows a starting render of idea to explain it to a viewer.

Next step was a background color selection, author of the book suggested white color which I
accepted for a crisp and clean look and much better contrast of colors. It just had a cleaner "feeling"

In the final design I used Avantgarde Pro type in two different weights - thin and black.
It reacted nice with the central motif for a nice geometric feeling. Thanks to the great Herb Lubalin :)
